Prostate Enlargement & Cancer: The Role of Chronic Infection

The prostate gland is a small, walnut-sized organ that sits below the bladder in men. It produces a fluid that helps to transport sperm during ejaculation. Prostate enlargement, also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), is a common condition that affects many men as they age. BPH can cause symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency, and difficulty urinating. Prostate cancer is another common condition that affects men. It is the most common cancer in men after skin cancer. Prostate cancer can be aggressive and can spread to other parts of the body.

There is evidence that chronic infection within the prostate gland may play a role in both BPH and prostate cancer. The prostate gland has poor circulation, which makes it susceptible to infection. One study found that men with BPH were more likely to have bacteria in their prostate fluid than men without BPH. Another study found that men with prostate cancer were more likely to have a history of prostatitis, which is an inflammation of the prostate gland.

Testing Semen for Chronic Infection within the Prostate.

Confidential Semen Testing To see If You Have An Infected Prostate.

In our clinic we do semen testing to determine the type and often there are several types of microbes found to be involved. The test can be done at home and is easy. It comes back with a list of what was found, and the microbes are tested to see their susceptibility to various antibiotics. Sometimes there are fugus and although virus is not tested, I would assume this would be found as well. It’s basically a soup of infection in many cases. Its not the standard of care to do this test in our current medical standard in the USA which I find to be a major short coming of the medical establishment. The reason these infections settle within the prostate is that there is poor circulation in the gland such that the immune system cannot get to the microbes. Its stagnant like a swamp and less like a river. Microbes love to grow in stagnant and toxic places where they can hide from your immune system.

Treating the root cause versus chasing symptoms.

If there is an infection and this infection is causing the

symptoms of BPH with urinary frequency, urgency, and difficulty urinating.  Then treating the symptom with Flomax or another drug that helps to reduce the swelling in the prostate is not treating the cause and will only lends itself to a lifetime of treatment managing the condition, what the pharmaceutical company’s want.  It also makes sense that a prostate that is enlarged because it has a chronic infection for a long enough period will develop cancer.

Since it is considered “normal” for men to get BPH and even prostate cancer given your age it seems that what most are missing is that the longer we live the more infections we accumulate in our prostate and when you add in the weakening of our immune system and lack of circulation as we age this makes perfect sense. Know we know the path forward to mitigate this problem and fix it at its core.

Antimicrobials such as Methylene Blue, Targeted antibiotics and Ozone  for Prostate Enlargement.

Ozone Injection Into the Prostate Under Ultrasound

Methylene Blue Injection Into the Prostate Under Ultrasound

Methylene Blue Injection Into the Prostate Under Ultrasound

Methylene blue along with light therapy is the main way blood banks sterilize donated blood. Methylene blue has significant antimicrobial effects and leaves the body unharmed. Your semen test will show which microbes are infecting your prostate and which antibiotics work against them.

Ozone therapy is a treatment that uses ozone gas to repair tissue and or kill bacteria and other microorganisms. Ozone therapy has been used to treat a variety of conditions, including BPH and prostate cancer. One study found that ozone therapy was effective in reducing the size of the prostate in men with BPH. Another study found that ozone therapy could kill prostate cancer cells in vitro.

Both ozone and methylene blue are injected into the prostate under ultrasound guidance. Often nitrous gas is used as a sedative and lidocaine to numb the area for a practically painless outpatient procedure.

Shock Wave Therapy for Prostate Disease

Shock wave therapy is a minimally invasive treatment that uses high-energy sound waves to heal the body, regenerate nerves & cartilage, break up scar tissue, lung fibrosis and calcifications and has an antimicrobial effect. It has been used to treat a variety of conditions, including prostate hypertrophy (BPH), erectile dysfunction (ED), and chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS).

How Shock Wave Therapy Works

Shock wave therapy works by creating micro-trauma in the tissue. This micro-trauma triggers the body’s natural healing response, which includes the release of growth factors and the formation of new blood vessels. The growth factors help to repair the damaged tissue, and the new blood vessels improve blood flow to the area which allows the immune system back into the prostate. Since the shock waves are antimicrobial, they also support the goal of irradicating the inflection out od the prostate and the bonus is that it leaves the prostate with better circulation so that the infection is much less likely to return.

Shock Wave Therapy for BPH

Shock wave therapy has been shown to be effective in reducing the size of the prostate in men with BPH. In a study published in the Journal of Urology, men who received shock wave therapy experienced a significant reduction in prostate size and improvement in urinary symptoms. Shock wave therapy is a safe and well-tolerated treatment. The most common side effects are mild pain and bruising at the treatment site.

Shock Wave Therapy and X Cell Stem Cell Therapy for ED

ED is a condition that affects up to 50% of men over the age of 40. It is caused by a number of factors, including low sex hormones, poor blood flow to the penis and lack of nerve function.

Shock wave therapy has been shown to improve erectile function in men with ED. In a study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, men who received shock wave therapy experienced a significant improvement in erectile function.

Stem Cell Therapy for Sexual Rejuvenation Using X Cell Stem Cells.

At Advanced Rejuvenation we do what’s called a “P Shot” which is an injection of PRP and Stem Cells using our X Cell’s which are far superior to any embryonic stem cells which is being used by practically every other clinic treating ED with stem cell therapy. X Cells are 4 time better at producing endothelial cells which makes them idea for ED and also vaginal rejuvenation for to “O Shot” for the ladies. This is also powerful at enhancing pleasure due to the improved blood flow and nerve function. This treatment can be done along with our Prosta BlueZone.

Shock Wave Therapy for Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS)

CPPS is a chronic pain condition that affects the prostate and the pelvic area. It is caused by a variety of factors, including inflammation, infection, and nerve damage.

Shock wave therapy has been shown to be effective in reducing pain and improving quality of life in men with CPPS. In a study published in the European Urology Journal, men who received shock wave therapy experienced a significant reduction in pain and improvement in quality of life. Shock wave therapy is a promising treatment for a variety of prostate diseases and it is combined with ozone in our office to treat most prostate conditions. These treatments are minimally invasive with few side effects and results are generally seen within a couple of weeks.

Methylene blue (MB) is a photosensitizer, which means that it can absorb light /photons and release energy within the mitochondria.

When this energy production is inefficient, it will produce high amounts of free radicals which can damage DNA and other cellular components, leading to cell death and even cancer.

Red light therapy (RLT) is a form of phototherapy that uses low-level red light to penetrate the skin and tissues. RLT has been shown to have a number of beneficial effects on cells, including modulating cell growth and repair, reducing inflammation, and increasing angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels).

When MB and RLT are used together, they can have a synergistic effect on cancer cells. The free radicals released by MB can damage DNA and other cellular components, making the cells more susceptible to the effects of RLT. RLT can also help to deliver MB to cancer cells more effectively.

There is some evidence that MB and RLT therapy can be effective in treating a variety of cancers, including prostate cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer. However, more research is needed to confirm these findings and to determine the optimal dose and duration of treatment.

How Methylene Blue and Red Light Therapy Might Help with Prostate Disease.

Prostate disease is a common condition in men, and it can range from mild to severe. The two most common types of prostate disease are benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer.

BPH is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. It can cause symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency, and difficulty urinating. RLT has been shown to be effective in reducing the size of the prostate in men with BPH.

Prostate cancer is a more serious condition, but it is often treatable. The standard treatment for prostate cancer is surgery, radiation therapy, or hormone therapy. However, these treatments can have side effects, and they may not be effective for all patients.

MB and RLT therapy may be a potential alternative treatment for prostate cancer. In animal studies, MB and RLT therapy have been shown to shrink tumors and kill cancer cells. More research is needed to determine whether MB and RLT therapy is safe and effective in humans with prostate cancer.

Using MB in a suppository for this indication makes good sense to get the medicine to concentrate where it is needed most. Getting red light to the prostate is possible using the MitoWand light made by MitoZen.Club. They also make a 60mg methylene blue suppository called Lumetol Blue.

Putting it all together.

For the first time ever a system has been put in place to utilize all of these modalities together with Prosta BlueZone.  Combining various anti microbial agents such as methylene blue with light therapy and targeted antibiotics along with ozone injections is done in the clinic under ultrasound guidance. On occasion we also will use shock wave therapy when necessary and optional ED “P Shot”. The treatment is targeted based on the semen testing done by our lab. . This is done for 3 visits outpatient visits in our Sarasota clinic.  After the treatment a follow up semen test is performed to determine if the infection has been cleared.
